Inspired by A Book Cover

The cover of THIS BOOK inspired the following card:

What a great design! I used an old SU set (can't remember the name) to make my blue strip and added a small piece of black stamped in white. LOVE the color balance on this one. Originally, I had the black piece just a bit too big, but trimming it down balanced everything nicely.

Off to spend some time with family, so I may be spotty posting the rest of the week...but I'll try!

Keep cool.

stamps: PTI Mega Mixed Messages, SU set (?)
ink: Memento black, SU white craft ink
paper: SU  bashful blue and black, PTI white
accessories: dimensional

ps. i've been meaning to remind you that sometimes folks "unsubscribe" because it is faster to come here to see you. when i was subscribed, i recd your posts the next day. so i unsubscribed cuz i couldnt wait, i wanted to see your posts the SAME day you posted them!!

    enjoy your family!

  2. I think the stamp set name is Fifth Avenue Floral - from SU.

  3. This is one of my "favoritest" cards you've done. ;-) I like the color combo and balance, too. Balance is one of your many fortes. Have fun with your family. We'll still be here.

  4. The colour scheme is so elegant and the card is perfectly balanced indeed. I checked my library for that book but it isn't there :(

  5. I love how you find inspiration everywhere! Thanks for again sharing your creative genius.

  6. I love that composition and your color choice.
    Have fun with your family!

  7. Love this one! Oh, and the stamp set from SU is Growing Green. :)

  8. Gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous! Who knew book covers could be so inspiring?!

  9. Really great interpretation of that book cover! You are so clever! :-)

Sadly; my library does not carry that book either. Not a single branch in my COUNTY carries it, I checked them all! :-(

  10. I checked my library for that book too and no luck (and Vancouver, Canada is a large city with a huge central library and 20 branch libraries so shame on them!). I'll request it through inter-library loan as I'm so impressed by this card and the inspiration the book gave you. The card is gorgeous! Perfect colours!

  11. This is just stunning! LOVE the pale blue on top of all that white with just some small hints of black--very striking! :)

  12. Absolutly Gorgeous! I LOVE it!!
